Zeda.io Overview

Welcome to Zeda.io, this document will walk you through the process of setting up your workspace on Zeda.io and the main terminologies used throughout the platform.

Introduction

Zeda.io allows you to make product management simpler and smarter by centralizing all your data, enabling you to collect, analyse, plan & execute all in one place. The Zeda.io dashboard comprises of following components -

Workspace > Collect Feedback > Convert Feedback to Features > Plan the Goals > Prepare the Roadmap > Product development > Release Notes > Analytics

Along with the above components, there is integration support which communicates with multiple tools for simpler collaboration.

What is a Zeda.io hierarchy?

Product Management is so fragmented and inefficient that product teams juggle between too many tools to define and manage their product. Also, there is no single tool that can integrate with the entire company stack for collaboration between different departments. That’s where Zeda.io steps in.!!

Zeda.io is a platform that helps you to build products that your customers love!

1. Collect

The Zeda.io hierarchy starts with “Collecting your feedback” via multiple sources like In-app Widget, Slack, Dashboard, Forms & Customer portal or migrating the existing via “Import function".

a. Customer Portal: Bringing your customers on board to share and engage with feedback and feature requests is not hard work at all.

b. In-app Widget: Your customers can easily share feedback with your product team directly from your web app with annotated screenshots, and screen records.

c. Integrations: Enable your teammates to share ideas & requests with you directly from their tools like Slack, Zendesk, HubSpot, and many more.

 

2. Analyze

Once the Feedback is collected, the PMs can view all the collected feedback in a dedicated feedback dashboard and then go ahead to create features by converting the submitted feedback and identifying feedback trends.

a. Feedback Dashboard: View all the incoming feedback, feature requests, ideas, and bugs from a single feedback dashboard.

b. Convert Feedback to Features: Easily convert feedback into a well-defined request for your engineering and design team to pick up. You can pass this to Jira or work it on Zeda.io.

 

3. Plan

Define measurable goals, align your team to the goals and track regular progress. You can also get company-wide visibility by creating organization-level roadmaps from the roadmap module by selecting all or combinations of multiple products and sharing them with all the stakeholders.

The PMs can go ahead and groom the submitted feedback by adding the “Prioritization” & linking the request with the Products and further to the features created inside the product.

a. Roadmaps: Build and share roadmaps at the company, team, product, and customer levels, which are always up-to-date, give clear visibility and can be customized as per need. 

b. Goals: Why do math in the air when you can easily do proper Goal-based planning and optimize product outcomes for your customers?

c. Prioritization: Don’t just jump into action. Decide what to do and what not to with built-in prioritization frameworks such as RICE, Value effort or make your own.

 

4. Execute

Centralize your product data and stakeholder interaction all in one place. Zeda.io supports integration with engineering tools like JIRA, design tools and analytics tools to help you streamline collaboration, planning and tracking.

a. Product Space: Easily share product context with anyone by organizing everything from concepts to documentation, designs, and analytics in a single place and collaborating on execution with design, engineering & other functions with easy-to-manage kanban boards.

b. Documentation: Easily create PRDs, personas, competitive analysis docs and more with the in-built template library. Easily create and manage product knowledge base with Zeda.io documentation.

c. Announce Updates: Notify your teammates & customers about the latest product updates directly on the Zeda.io In-app widget, Customer portal or through emails, Slack integration, and more.


Terminologies used throughout the Dashboard

Term Definition Tool Mapping
Workspace A workspace is a hub for all your company's initiatives. It is a collaborative space for the planning and management of Products. A single workspace is the collection of multiple products which a company is offering. Slack, JIRA, Zapier
Product A Product is a broken-down version of an overall workspace. So basically a Product in Zeda.io is where you can define, manage and collaborate with your team to ideate, build and ship according to needs and requirements. JIRA, Slack, Figma, Invision, Draw.io, Adobe XD, Miro, Whimsical, Marvel, Axure, Data Studio, Mixpanel, Tableau
Product Groups Organize your product space better by creating a group of two related products under the same heading. Not applicable.
Features Products are further broken down into tasks and stories, these are called “Features” on Zeda.io. Features are the specific pieces of functionality in a product that delivers value to the customer. JIRA, Custom Prioritization
Feedback Centralize your feedback, ideas, feature requests, and bugs from different sources in the feedback module to organize and groom them effectively. Slack, In-app Widget, Form, Dashboard, & Customer portal.
Requests Submissions made on the backlog module are termed Requests. Not applicable.
Company Roadmap Company Roadmap is the one that enables you to club the roadmap of multiple or all the products of the workspace. This gives you an overall roadmap view of the selected products as the source. Not applicable.
Product Artefacts The modules inside a product are termed Product artefacts. based on which the whole product is built. Not applicable.
Changelog Changelogs are documentation of your releases (new features, improvements, bug fixes, etc.). This is only the product-level module and gets updated with every release. Not applicable.
Release Notes Release Notes are the Announcement of your new releases with your internal teams and customers. This is a collection of multiple changelogs from different products, which then get published in a combined way. Not applicable.
In-app Widget The Zeda.io in-app widget once installed on your web app will enable your customers to directly submit feedback, feature requests, and bugs without having to move anywhere else. Not applicable.
Customer Portal Customer Portal is your own domain for you to interact with your customers. You can receive requests, communicate the company's roadmap and announce the latest updates for your product. Not applicable.
